Engineering Teams Design Journals
Using a design journal is a crucial part of the engineering process. The team had lots of different meetings for the project every week and in order to stay on track it is very important to write everything down.
Below are some images of the teams design journals over the course of our project.
- Twice a week the team met together to stay on top of all the tasks that needed to be done. In the beginning of the week the team created a plan of the tasks that needed to be done and by who that week. Then in the end of the week the team would meet again to check the status of the tasks.
- Once a week the team met with their Director who was a faculty mentor who helped the team stay on target with the project.
- Once a week the team met with their Client who was the connection that helped the team stay up to date on the requirement of the hospital, kids and educators.
- The team also had meetings with Kodo Kids in the second semester of the project to improve the mass manufacturability of the toy. These meetings happened weekly on email, phone, Zoom, and various other communication platforms.

Other Notes and Brainstorming
Even when the team didn't have their notebooks, they were always brainstorming and taking notes of what was going on with the project.
